My Story
If I had to describe my approach to marketing in one word, it would be Promethean: rebelliously creative. I take this same approach in all areas of my life, and I want to tell my story in the most unconventional and uninhibited way possible.
I empower my clients to tell their brand’s story – encouraging them to embrace what scares them, and allow their creativity to be limitless.
I’m a writer, I’m a marketer, but above all else I’m a storyteller. Every experience in my life has surreptitiously led me to this realization and by proxy, a career in marketing.
As a chef and beer brewer, I learned the nuance of exploratory creativity and the importance of teamwork and communication. Food is food, but what differentiates culinary arts from just cooking? Art. A team helps you see what you don’t see, and there’s no way we can grow without a diversity of ideas. As a paralegal and once aspiring law student, I learned the importance of structure and understanding order to find the areas in which I could allow creativity to flourish. In tech support I learned patience and humility. Sometimes, it’s just going to break and there’s no reason for it. You can’t take it personally. It’s not always a reflection of your abilities or due to negligence; computers are just jerks. However, you cannot give up and you just have to get creative in your solution. It’s ok to ask for help.
These very divergent career paths allow me to see marketing through a different lens and gave me specialized knowledge that has been helpful in unexpected ways throughout my marketing career. I’ve worked with clients from a myriad of industries from distilleries and breweries, to restaurants, artists, HVAC, non-profits, spas, beauty, small businesses and more. I collaborate with clients directly on how best to tell their story.
I have extensive experience with sole management of accounts, and am a one-stop-shop for content creation. Some of my strong suits include marketing strategy, social media marketing, branding, SEO/SEM, copywriting and content writing, WordPress design, budgeting and forecasts, analytics and auditing, and I’m eager to learn more!

Carrus
Carrus is a B2B SaaS Allied Healthcare LMS for Allied Healthcare workers. The company initially started off as purely B2C brand with as CareerStep, but Carrus was launched as the B2B arm of the business to better serve the market alongside continuing the B2C operations.
I managed a team of creatives to develop and implement a dynamic content marketing strategy, which included email marketing and newsletters, social posts, webinars, podcasts, blog posts, whitepapers, eBooks, and more.
In addition to my duties as the Content Marketing Manager, I also spearheaded the following roles and projects:
- Developing and implementing the organic SEO initiatives for the brand. My duties included technical SEO optimization, and content syndication, which boosted site traffic by over 50%, and session duration by 42% within 6 months.
- Tracking and analyzing KPI data to forecast and monitor, and optimize marketing campaigns – including SEO rank, traffic, conversion, lead gen, and video.
- Overhauling lead intake processes to streamline efficiency with automation, and fostering inter-departmental collaboration. This led to an increase in B2B partnerships by over 15% within 6 months.
- Heading trade show logistics planning and on-site execution, including vendor negotiations, tradeshow marketing strategy, booth design and presentation, budgeting, and networking.
- Creating and implementing Google Data Studio templates that were utilized company wide, as well as developing an SEO and Analytics reporting procedure to track campaigns.
- Spearheaded the Carrus Content Hub of resources for HR professionals and healthcare organizations. This pushed the brand into the space of thought leadership, where our CEO was invited to speak at tradeshows, and interviewed by HR.com.

Client
Nina Mata-Russell, LMT is a mobile massage therapist in Houston, TX who specializes in trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ safe massage therapy. She started out with no online presence, no assets, and no idea how to start marketing her business.
I have been consulting with her on how best to operate her business – in particular, not underselling her services. For her website, we scheduled a photoshoot for assets – her primary goal was to have diversity in her website photos of race, gender, body types, etc. In addition to facilitating the photoshoot, I wrote all of the website copy and built the website from the ground up. I am currently in the process of blogging for her and publishing her blogs to content syndication networks. I have also created and optimized her social media platforms, Google My Business page, SEO strategy, and tracked analytics.
This project is ever-growing and I have the full trust of the client to continue optimizing her marketing strategy.

Viewpoints Landscaping
As part of an organic SEO strategy for Viewpoints Landscaping, I created SEO landing pages per location served, such as Portland, Clackamas, and Hillsboro. The goal was to get their Google My Business pages ranked as well as generate credible leads. Each page was created with specifically high-ranking keywords and mirrored one another.
To track specific leads from the SEO landing pages, I configured the contact form to have a subject line containing the following information viewable only to our client “New Contact Form Submission (SEO – Portland)”.
